I hope this turns into a class action suit. I'm so frikken sick and tired of apple making all these tiny mistakes and playing the silent game about it. So sick and tired. They are not god, they need to take responsibility for their mistakes.

From a moral standpoint, I can't be happy that he is dead. No one deserves to die. He should have spend the rest of his life in a prison cell
NEIN NEIN NEIN NEIN NEIN! He deserved to die.

The iphone 4 has an amazing design. the metal band is epic. the consistent thickness from top to bottom is ideal. it's incredible. the only thing i want improved is a larger screeni was hoping for 4", but i'll take 3.7. i really don't see why they would do a design after 1 gen, especially one that seems to step backward into the ipod touch again. in fact, i would believe it more likely tha the next ipod touch would look more like the iphone 4.

5-7% is possible. Don't ever expect Apple to get above 10 again though.
Why not?
I think there's some upper limit that apple may hit, I just don't see why it would be as low as 10%.
Generic businesses will likely stay with windows for quite a while, regardless of what apple does. But I don't see any reason many creative businesses, schools and home users couldn't switch to macs.

I'm starting to think this rumor may be true. And its actually not a bad thing, My iPhone 4 is working great right now, it's plenty fast and looks awesome. Waiting a couple more months wouldnt be a bad thing. I usually wait a month after new releases anyway for demands and lines to die down.

the iPhone doesn't compete against Android. The iPhone competes against all of the handsets running Android. And it's killing them. The 3GS as the second best-selling handset? That's frankly embarrassing for Android.
Yes, the iPhone does compete against Android. The last time I went into a AT&T or Verizon store, this was obvious. To say that the iPhone does not compete against Android is silly.
the most popular handset
the 2nd most popular handsetBecause there is only two hardware choices, the iPhone 4 or iPhone 3GS. Making this argument is so empty, in that it does not take into account the reasons behind it.
the most popular mobile OSHello Mr. Straw man. The article was about iPhone; if you read it it states "covering U.S. mobile phone sales". Now, if by mobile OS, you are also adding in the iPad, that is debatable. I've been a iPad 3G owner since April 30th and I can tell you that I do not consider the iPad a mobile device. Sure, its easy to carry, but to lump in its sales with phone handset sales is a stretch. If you are making that stretch, how about adding netbooks into the mix as well?
the most popular tablet. Again, the article was about the iPhone vs. Andriod handset sales, not the tablet sales. Another Straw Man approach to a comment about iPhone handset sales.
getting "badly beaten"?
When your sales numbers for phones are ~50% of that of your competitor; whereas a few years ago they were barely a blip, then yes that means they are getting kicked in the teeth in handset OS sales.

Unless the form factor of any given product in the Macintosh line is radically different or re-designed, leaked pictures of such products are boring and uninteresting.
Plus the iPhones are still the "New, hot thing" in Apple-land, so even a millimeter's difference in the case is a big deal.
Then why all of the leaked photos of the new 2011 MacBook Pros and their boxes prior to release? The form factor of those computers literally didn't change at all.
I'm really surprised we haven't yet seen any leaked photos of the new iMacs if they're indeed coming out tomorrow. I guess we'll see soon enough.

Ok, here's my theory. I think Apple's "No Blu-ray" stance may play a role here... Perhaps.
The thing I really don't like about Blu-ray being washed away by streaming and downloads is that right now there's no good way for people to share their own videos with people in a way that they'll be able to watch them on the TV in high quality, similar to how they'd watch a Netflix film. YouTube is great if you watch it on a computer, but on a TV device it's not full quality and it's hard to find things.
This is one of the key things I'm waiting for before I embrace the idea of streaming and downloads becoming the norm. Unlike Blu-ray, Netflix streaming doesn't have a recordable format. I was thinking before Apple could be a great candidate to fill this void.
With the new datacenter and the impending FCP X release, the pieces are coming together. Next they release a new version of the apple TV which, among other things, allows users to watch videos that they and others have uploaded- on the TV, in high quality.
THAT would be really cool. I still love Blu-ray. But it would be really sweet being able to upload a short film or video that I made and know that people will be able to watch it on their ix.Mac.MarketingName... :D

I've seen the blue screen on XP. It's funny because I've been told by Windows users that it doesn't exist in XP, yet I witnessed it two weeks ago when a colleague of mine was trying to do something with Adobe Acrobat. The program just spazzed and the blue screen came up.
Entirely possible, but not necessarily a problem with XP. The operating system will immediately blue screen if an application attempts to write into an illegal memory area, which I've seem Acrobat do, and a Java application that used a native dll. I believe it's a security feature built into newer processors.
Zune?
The MS tactic will probably be the same as the one they used to defeat IBM, Apple and Palm; just keep throwing money at it, make gradual improvements until the competition makes a huge gaff and falls flat on it's face. They don't actually win; everyone else just kind of ... loses.
They've come from way behind before (remember when Palm had 90% of the PDA market) and ended up on top, but rarely on their own merits. Apple just has to keep up the marketing and keep adding value to the brand, and that should be enough to keep them ahead.

I thought I would never buy headphones over $100. I was always ok with my $30 Sony in ears, but now that I got the Sennheiser 595s, Im glad I did spend the money. The Beats look nice, but they have nothing on Sennheisers. AMAZING sound quality, and they were definitely worth the money.

Oh man.
Al-qaeda quickly fell apart after the war on terror and became what is known as leaderless resistance.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Leaderless_resistance
This kind of movement has top leaders, but for the most part any actions taken by the collective "al-qaeda" (the term quickly became a brand name adopted by many small, loosely-if-connected-at-all cells) are carried out by cells with little if any intercell communication. In short, in this kind of movement, the leaders barely matter if at all. Its the idea that generates the actions, not the leaders.
Watch the news on this right now ... they are talking about how huge Bin Laden is in Al-Queda ... he goes back to the beginning of it.
if anything Ayman al-Zawahiri is a distant #2 leader
Looks like Navy Seals played a big role in getting the job done ... cheers to them.

$1000 worth of a beating he'd get if i were his parent. Luckily for kids, i hate them and would never have one. Ever.
I'd elect to send him to law school to make good on the debt. But then he'd run the risk of turning into a Washington politician. Now *that* would be a tragedy.

Apple will be stupid, make their TV the same shape as the others and be sued by everyone.
Funny how it is. Apple is ultra successful, makes tons of money, and still cowers out of fear.
The fanboys feel sorry for them, and make excuses.
What a bizarre environment the little man lives in.
